Yesterday was my 4th day of Chanukah and we cooked like hell. We tried to make various forms of “latkes”, the potato pancakes (if you don’t remember them, you should probably read day 1 again 😉 ). Normally you fry this delicious, little bastards in a pan with crazy amount of oil, but we successfully tried it in the oven with a crazy amount of oil as well and they still were very delicious. Now we probably could produce latkes for a whole village and I have a nice recipe.
Recipe for the oily, little, delicious bastards

  • 8 Potatoes
  • 1 Sweetpotato
  • 2 Apples
  • 1 Onion
  • 1 Spoon of Salt
  • ½ package of baking powder
  • 3 big Spoon of flour
  • A lot of pepper
  • And finally every red spice you have (remember, it must be red)

Grind all the vegetables with a granter into small sticks (an electrical granter is of enormous help) and put it with all the other stuff into a big bowl. Now you have to stir everything up very well, so take your time. Now you put baking paper on a baking plate and oil it. Afterwards put the mix onto the baking plate and bake at 200°C for 40 min until it is golden. Enjoy your meal and while you are preparing the food you might want to her this song:
